Meet Your Supporting Characters

Elizabeth Carlton Chase

Co-founder

Elizabeth Carlton Chase grew up in Atlanta, where she discovered her storytelling voice through creative writing and theater at Northside School of the Performing Arts. Her first college class at Georgia State—Screenwriting 101—lit the spark that would shape her career. Feature script in hand, she set off in search of a deeper education. Next stop: film school!

As a member of the inaugural class at the UNC School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking, Elizabeth earned her BFA with an emphasis on Screenwriting. After working in production and the studio system in Hollywood, she completed her MFA in Screenwriting at the American Film Institute. There, as an AFI Fellow, she was mentored by industry legends such as Stephen Mazur (Liar Liar) and D.C. Fontana (Star Trek) and received the Jack Oakie Memorial Award for Excellence in Comedy Writing.

Elizabeth is a writer and classically trained actor with a background in dance, music, and visual art. She believes in the power of cross-discipline creation—and brings that perspective to every project. Whether she’s helping a client fine-tune dialogue or conceptualize a script’s cinematic arc, she loves guiding writers toward a version of their story that feels clear, compelling, and true to the heart.

Sarah Wallin

Co-founder

Sarah Wallin has been writing scripts since 5th grade, when she penned an anti-smoking romp titled The Smoke Out—later performed by her classmates, including future Castle star Stana Katic. (It worked. None of them ever smoked.)

Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Sarah earned her degree in English Writing at Biola University, where she split her time between writing workshops, stage plays, and dramatic monologues that included a rebellious teen daughter and a very pregnant single mom stuck in an airport on Christmas Eve. She developed a deep love for dialogue, character, and the weird magic of performance that brings a script to life.

She went on to earn her MFA in Creative Writing from Cal State Long Beach and has since placed twice at the Austin Film Festival and in the ScreenCraft Family Screenplay Competition. In addition to writing, Sarah has taught college-level English, led countless workshops, and currently works as a Creative Director—helping shape and sharpen stories of all kinds.

As a script consultant, she’s known for her sharp ear and deep respect for a writer’s voice. She specializes in giving practical, story-savvy notes—especially when it comes to character, dialogue, and (according to some) writing kids and teens.

As longtime friends and collaborators, Sarah and Elizabeth are thrilled to have joined forces as SUPPORTING CHARACTERS to help writers develop stories that sing on the page and shine on the screen. Together, they’ve given hundreds of notes, fixed thousands of typos, and made at least one writer feel inspired and proud of their work. Now they’re here to support YOU.
